“Chance the Rapper” featured concert: excessive drinking led more than 90 people hospitalized in Connecticut

Authorities reported that more than 90 people got hospitalized on Friday night during Chance the Rapper featured concert. Because of excessive drinking, many of them were taken to the hospital. Hartford “Deputy Chief”, Brian Foley said that at “Xfinity Theatre” on Hot Jam concert, Hot 93.7’s drinking referrals of almost 50 Underage has been made by officers. For appearance in court charged persons are summoned. Throughout the evening, several arrests had been made.

Foley mentioned that crowd was comprised of early 20’s and late teens and they were partying, tailgating with excessive alcohol usage and this thing was extremely prevalent. He added that severe intoxication was the reason because of which underage attendees got hospitalized.

Foley provided estimation of people at concert equal to 21,000 people. Beside Chance the Rapper, PnB Rock, ANoyd and Kyle performed at this concert.

One young man was admitted to ICU as he had nearly 0.5-eight times “legal limit for driving” and had “Blood-alcohol” content and he was 19 years old. His critical situation explained by John Brancato (assistant director of the pediatric emergency department at Connecticut Children’s medical center in Hartford).
