The combating groups in Yemen have settled to a ceasefire of 72-hour which is to commence soon before midnight on Wednesday, UN special ambassador to Yemen publicized on Monday.

A UN report stated Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Special Envoy “welcomes the reinstatement of the Cessation of Hostilities, which will relief the people of Yemen for more bloodshed and will permit for the expanded deliverance of humanitarian support.”

Ahmed stated he had received reassurances as of all Yemeni groups to cease warfare at 11:59 at midnight Yemen time on 19th of Oct. “for a starting period of 72 hours, depending on renewal.”
